The National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023, introduced as part of the NEP 2020, is a comprehensive guide aimed at transforming school education in India. It reimagines the curriculum to focus on competency-based education, aligning with global standards while considering the Indian context. The NCF 2023 emphasizes holistic development, critical thinking, creativity, and the integration of technology in learning.
The importance of NCF 2023 in school education lies in its focus on making education more flexible, student-centric, and experiential. It aims to reduce the burden of rote learning, encourage multilingualism, and promote life skills alongside academic knowledge. This shift is critical for preparing students for the future, fostering innovation, and ensuring that education becomes more inclusive and relevant in a rapidly changing world.
